The idea behind this project was to make an app based aggregator of home cooked food places in my city’s vicinity. Students staying at hostels or alone face major meal related issues, daily restaurant food isn’t a healthy solution either. Hunger Run takes utmost care in partnering with only the best to ensure 100% fresh and healthy food.
Hunger Run will act as a facilitator between the home chefs and the students/ users of this app.
Home chefs will register to the app and update their menu on a daily basis. Students/ users of this app can view their current location and the menus on the application and choose the suitable location with the help of a map.
Rough work, thought process
The application is primarily divided into 2 meals, lunch and dinner.
Selecting the specific meal leads to the next choice > applying specific filters namely Diet filter and the Cuisine filter.
With the help of inbuilt navigation system one can be aware of their current location. Nearby places serving the type of meal you are looking for are shown on the screen. Reviews and ratings can be checked to be sure. A personal profile is maintained where reviews and ratings can be given by the user of the application.
One can also view the history of places previously visited and the menu that was served.
